2Countries, one studio
The person behind the work
NuLeaf Design started in Cape Town in 2010 with a simple idea: great design shouldn't be reserved for companies with big budgets.
After years in South Africa, the studio moved to Auckland in 2015. From 2016 to 2019 I led front-end development at PB Tech, and that big-platform experience is why NuLeaf sites are quick and tidy.
Today it's a small, full-focus studio. You work directly with me, with no account managers and no guessing games, just clear communication and good work.

The journey so far
- 2006
First website
Built a site for Chefs @ Home, a private-chef company in South Africa.
- 2010
NuLeaf Design begins
Started the studio in Fish Hoek, Cape Town, helping small businesses look as credible as the big ones.
- 2011–2015
Johannesburg
Sharpened the craft in a demanding commercial market across web, brand and print.
- 2015
Auckland
Moved to New Zealand and re-established the studio in Bucklands Beach.
- 2016–2019
Lead Front-End Developer, PB Tech
Led front-end development on one of New Zealand's largest e-commerce platforms.
- 2022–2024
Carpenter at Hobbiton
Stepped away from the web to work on the Hobbiton Movie Set, which is where the woodworking comes from.
- 2025–now
Full focus, North Shore
Back at NuLeaf full-time, mixing big-platform experience with small-studio craft.
